A dating app with a sense of humour

The premise is a very modern accident. Jake is scrolling a dating app, recognises his friend's mother and swipes as a joke. The joke is on him: she matches, and she takes the conversation seriously enough to meet.

The night that follows becomes the problem. Jake wants to keep it secret; his friend must never find out. Then the daughter appears, and she knows. The second half is a trap built for two women and one very nervous man.

The series mixes comedy and tension well. Jake's panic is funny; the daughter's knowledge is dangerous; and the mother is calmer than either of them. She treats the whole thing as an adventure she is entitled to after years of being somebody's mum, and her lack of guilt is what makes the situation so hard for Jake to escape.
