Before his business trip Dad lays down a single rule: while he is away, his son does as his stepmother tells him. Ava, his new wife, is 22 and was listening. She intends to hold everyone to it, word for word.

An instruction with no limits

The premise is built on a single sentence. The father hands the household to his young wife and tells his son to follow her lead. Ava, barely older than her stepson, hears an opportunity in that sentence and starts giving orders.

The game is obedience. Each request is a little bolder than the last, and the son's position is awkward: he was told to say yes. The series plays the dynamic with a light touch, a power game more than a seduction.

What keeps it watchable is Ava herself. She is not cruel, she is delighted: a young woman who suddenly has authority over someone her own age and wants to see how far it stretches. The son's attempts to find a loophole in Dad's rule are the comic thread, and none of them work.
