From daydream to invitation

The first act lives inside Theo's head. He is married, apparently content, and preoccupied with his neighbours, two women dressed in black whose presence follows him into sleep. The series plays these dream scenes straight, which gives the early chapters a slightly hazy, surreal quality unusual for Candy Shorts.

It is worth stressing how unusual this is for the catalogue. Most series run on jealousy, a partner kept in the dark, a parent about to walk in.
